Profession Scheduled: Ed O’Donnell and Kathleen Van Buskirk will be professed on Sunday, October 17, 2004  at the
           11:00 A.M.

St. John of the Cross Parish. Directions: From Rt. 60 go north on 74th Street
            until you reach the new church. Please make a special effort to attend. This is an important day in
            the life of your brother and sister! Please keep them in your prayers!

 

Happy Anniversary of Profession: The 7 founding members of our Fraternity celebrated their 10th Anniversary
            of Profession on October 4, 2004. They are: Eugene P. and Helen F. Caldarone, Elaine and John
            Matthews, Frances “Pat” Riordan, Fred S. Schaeffer, and in Heaven: Jean Kurtz. Please pray for them.        

 

Remember in your prayers: All people in Florida who suffered from the hurricanes and the homeless. Pray especially for our Franciscan sisters and brothers in St. Francis’ Day and during this whole week.

 

From the Minister’s Desk:   This newsletter was hastily prepared over a cup of coffee at a local diner so we can get it to you in time for the next meeting. Let us be grateful to God as Franciscans for the opportunity to experience poverty and humility firsthand over the last few weeks.
