Remember
in your prayers:...the
success of the Day of Recollection at San Pedro Ctr. on Sept. 8th
… our candidates, Ed and Kathleen, as they approach their Day of Profession
scheduled in October at their home parish, St. John of the Cross, thanks be
to God …this month, Adele joins our newest Inquirers, Elizabeth and Marie -
please keep them in your prayers as they begin their journey of prayer,
study and discernment.
From the
Minister’s Desk:
I was reminded recently of the importance of being joyful in prayer always.
If the focus of our prayer is on thanksgiving, praise and love, our prayers
cannot fail to be joy-filled. Our never-ending need to pray for God’s mercy
can be filled with joy if we see His mercy as a most precious gift.
Similarly, awareness of our own sinfulness is, in itself, a most blessed
incentive to ask for and receive His gift of Mercy and Love. Let us never
pray without gratitude and thanksgiving - somehow, in God’s plan for each
one of us, our life-long struggle to tame our rebellious spirit will, when
filled with hope and joy, lead us and others closer to Him. God bless you
all!!
